Man dead after St. Paul street fight

ST. PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul police say they're investigating the death of a man early this morning on Rice Street.

Officers were called to a report of two people fighting on the street about a block west of the state Capitol. They found one man dead there when they arrived.

Investigators believe the incident started with an altercation on a Route 16 Metro Transit bus, but authorities aren't sure what the fight was about.

Police are questioning two people, but say they haven't made any arrests yet this morning.
