Q&A: Storms uprooting numerous trees

ST. PAUL, Minn. — It is likely that thunderstorms will rumble through Minnesota Tuesday evening and overnight, following a string of storms this morning.
Numerous trees have been reported uprooted, which is somewhat unusual in the absence of tornadic activity.
Gary Johnson, extension professor of urban and community forestry for the Department of Forest Resources at the University of Minnesota, speaks with MPR News about why trees might be falling.
