With the farmers' market season in full swing here in Minnesota, how are we supposed to know what's in season now and how to cook it?

In "Eat More Vegetables," local writer Tricia Cornell offers more than 100 recipes for Minnesotans to use that incorporates produce you can get at the farmers' market or a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program.

The book is ordered by month, so the recipes will coincide with the time when those items are in season.

She said was inspired to write the book when her own family bought a share in a local CSA and she realized the way we eat in the summer is different than winter. Here in late April and early June, for example, it's all about salads in Minnesota.

We'll air an interview with Cornell on The Daily Circuit Friday.

The band you heard playing in this piece was Gypsy Mania.
