Ensemble 61 mixes it up

St. Paul, Minn. — This Friday night, Ensemble 61 puts the spotlight on each of their members for a little solo number - and maybe some friendly competition to show us who has cornered the modern-music scene and which instrument best expresses the new in music.

Founding member and percussionist Erik Barsness stopped by to share some recent performances and talk shop on Classical MPR.

It's quite possible that your whole idea of what new music is will be slightly - and forever - altered!

Ensemble 61 at Studio Z in Lowertown, Friday night at 8:00
