Kerri's book Pick of the Week is Ron Rash's follow up to his bestselling novel "Serena." "The Cove" is set during World War I-era North Carolina. In his new novel, a young woman, Laurel, nurses an illiterate mute named Walter back to health and falls in love with him in the process.
