Mother's Day Musical Bouquet

All week long, Classical MPR is publishing playlists to celebrate Mother's Day. We start with a bouquet, but come back later in the week for more music to share with Mom.
St. Paul, Minn. — Mom, it's your big day!
Here are some flowers for you — musical flowers, that is. This playlist includes "Roses from the South," by Johann Strauss, and the Flower Duet by Delibes.
There are also carnations from Sibelius, daisies from Rachmaninoff, and floral tributes from MacDowell, Mahler, and Barrios, among others.
