Outdoor enthusiasts often want lawmakers at the State Capitol to find money to help fight invasive species like Asian carp and zebra mussels. Meanwhile, Minnesota Public Radio essayist Peter Smith has discovered that here in the Twin Cities, we're being invaded by a few species that are really "old familiar friends."
