What Best Buy needs in a future CEOby Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public Radio
St. Paul, Minn. — The Best Buy Corporation has created a search committee to look for a new CEO. Brian Dunn resigned from that position yesterday after the company launched an investigation into his personal conduct. Mike Mikan was named the interim CEO.
Whoever gets the job permanently will face a big challenge. Best Buy lost $1.23 billion in the last quarter and is struggling to adapt to an environment in which big box stores have become free showrooms for competing online operations.
Cathy Wurzer talks with Anne Morriss, who writes about the changing face of retail. Morriss is the co-author of "Uncommon Service: How to Win by Putting Customers at the Core of Your Business."
