Red Wing hosts river water quality forum

RED WING, Minn. (AP) -- The public is invited to a conversation on water quality issues facing the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers on Thursday in Red Wing.

The conversation is being sponsored by a range of citizen groups, farm groups, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and InCommons. The forum will discuss ways to collaborate to restore water quality through specific on-the-ground projects and initiatives.

InCommons -- an initiative that connects Minnesotans to share knowledge and resources to address complicated problems -- says the Red Wing dialogue will build on the success of other round table discussions recently held in Mankato and Owatonna.

The event at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing is free, but advanced registration is required by Tuesday's deadline at 1-877-269-2873.
