St. Paul, Minn. — In 1977, a film collaboration between a director and composer began that became one of the most successful in all of film history. Geroge Lucas met his musical equal in providing music for sci-fi's equivalent of The Ring Cycle, Star Wars. Six films and billions of dollars later, Williams' music stands as some of the best movie music of all time.
