Super PAC strategist says both sides need to play by same rulesby Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public Radio
We're a little more than eight months away from November's presidential election, and already much of the early campaigning has been dominated by third-party groups known as Super PACS.
In the Republican primary race, Super PACS have outspent the candidates themselves in some states. And last week, President Obama surprised many when his reelection team announced it will openly support Priorities USA Action, a Super PAC run by former White House aides.
One of those aides is former Minnesotan Bill Burton. He's Priorities USA's senior strategist. Previously, Burton served as the 2008 campaign national press secretary for the president.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with him about the role of Super PACS in November's election.
