State GOP Chair says Minnesota's caucuses will influence presidential raceby Phil Picardi, Minnesota Public Radio
St. Paul, Minn. — Minnesota's caucuses are less than a week away. So far the candidates for the GOP presidential nomination have been slow to focus on the state. But that's all changing. Gov. Mitt Romney, fresh off a big win in the Florida primary yesterday, plans to be in Eagan Wednesday afternoon. A couple of nights ago, Sen. Rick Santorum made his first campaign visit to the state. And Rep. Ron Paul's Minnesota campaign says it expects the congressman to visit this weekend.
MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with Minnesota Republican Chairman Pat Shortridge about the state's caucuses.
