With congressional approval ratings at historic lows, the Senate voted to take up the issue of Congressonal insider trading, hoping it will restore some trust in government. Presently, members of Congress are not banned from profiting from insider trading. The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, or STOCK Act, would explicitly ban this and would allow that members of Congress can be prosecuted if they do so.

Kerri will be joined by Minnesota Representative Tim Walz, an original co-sponsor of the act.
