Today's the day set by Gov. Mark Dayton for would-be hosts for a Vikings stadium to make their bids. The governor said he wants the best offers for NFL stadiums on his desk by the end of the day.
Shakopee handed in a surprise, last-minute bid last night. Minneapolis and Ramsey County are likely to hand in their paperwork this afternoon.
MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with Minnesota Public Radio news reporter Tim Nelson, who has been following the stadium debate.
