More than a dozen people spoke at a meeting of the Anoka-Hennepin School District on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in Coon Rapids. The district is considering removing its so-called 'sexual orientation curriculum policy' and replacing it with a policy that requires teachers and staff to withhold their personal views during classroom discussions on "controversial topics." In all, more than 60 people were in attendance. (MPR Photo/Tom Weber)
