Regional Spotlight: Holiday Performances

St. Paul, Minn. — All month long the Regional Spotlight at Classical MPR will include regional holiday performances and recordings. Making this season bright and serene, here are four performances that are sure to bring a warm smile:

1) Patapan: (arr Shelley Hansen) with the Encore Wind Ensemble directed by Jerry Luckhardt

2) Ceremony of Carols (selections) by Benjamin Britten with the Bella Voce Young Women's Choir directed by Shelly Winemiller

3) O Christmas Tree: heard in an improvisation with pianist Lynn Trapp

4) Pargoletto Amato Figlio (Little Baby,Beloved Son) by Antonio Cifra with Consortium Carissimi directed by Garrick Comeaux
