St. Paul, Minn. — It is unusual to use the word "bless" when speaking of choral music performance, but the mission of Bella Voce Young Women's Choir is to do just that. They consider their music making a blessing for their audiences.

The ensemble, based in Rochester MN, sometimes rehearses in nursing homes and often performs for patients at the Mayo Clinic. Led by Shelly Winemiller, the ensemble's signature sound is joy filled and vibrant.

In the Regional Spotlight this week are two works sung by Bella Voce: Pablo Casals' Nigra Sum and James Mulholland's Life Has Loveliness to Sell.
