Minnesota marks uptick in job vacancies for October

Demand for workers picked up in Minnesota last month. That's according to the Conference Board, a New York-based research firm.

Minnesota's employers posted 2,500 more online job vacancies in October than they had the month before-- the first uptick since June.

Nationally, online advertised vacancies were basically flat. That left roughly 3.5 unemployed workers for every online job ad posted nationwide.

In Minnesota, it was more like two workers for every job posting.
