After meeting with Dayton, NFL signals impatience

NFL officials met with Gov. Mark Dayton Tuesday to talk about the prospects for a new Vikings stadium in Minnesota.

Neither side reported any new developments in the talks during their half-hour long meeting at the Capitol. But NFL Vice President Eric Grubman said that the League won't wait much longer for the state to resolve its nearly decade-long stadium debate.

"NFL franchises are highly sought after," Grubman said. "Opening the door for [the Vikings exit] will happen if the process here yields a stalemate."

Grubman wouldn't talk specifics, but did say that for the first time in his career, all but one of the requirements for a team to return to Los Angeles are in place. He said the only thing the city is missing now is a franchise.
