Chisago County teenager shot, killed
Chisago County authorities say a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed late Thursday night at a home north of Lindstrom.
The Sheriff's office says authorities were called to the home shortly after 9 p.m. and found the teen bleeding from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff Rick Duncan said Friday morning that investigators believe the victim was accidentally shot by a 16-year-old friend. The two were at the home and may have been playing with a gun when it discharged.
Duncan identified the weapon as a .22-caliber rifle. He doesn't believe there were any adults in the home at the time.

The other boy involved in the incident was questioned and released to his parents.
Duncan said the incident was a safety reminder for gun owners.
"The saddest thing about it is that it can be prevented, by just securing your firearms in a secure facility where there's no access for kids to get to it."
The shooting remains under investigation.
