Regional Spotlight: Elizabeth Alexander

St. Paul, Minn. — Twin cities composer, Elizabeth Alexander, is the recent recipient of a McKnight Foundation Composition Fellowship Grant.

Persistance is very much a part of her personality. The grant was awarded after her seventh application.

Her music is beautiful. And in both her instrumental and choral works she explores both intimate personal emotions as well as the most playful of thoughts.

In this week's Regional Spotlight Alexander joins Steve Staruch to talk about her music and to share some of her work.
