St. Paul, Minn. — State lawmakers are still not ready to vote on a budget agreement that would end the 18-day-old government shutdown.
Gov. Mark Dayton had wanted to call a special session Monday after reaching the framework of a deal late last week with Republican legislative leaders. But after three full-days of additional negotiations, some details remain unresolved in the individual budget bills.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with reporter Tim Pugmire, who has been keeping an eye on the action at the Capitol.
