Expert: Bachmann lags in N.H. polls

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann heads to the key presidential primary state of New Hampshire Tuesday. She officially kicked off her campaign for the Republican nomination Monday in Iowa, which holds the first caucus of the election.

A recent poll of likely Republican caucus-goers shows Bachmann neck and neck with perceived front runner Mitt Romney. But voters in Iowa and New Hampshire don't always see things the same way.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Professor Dante Scala, a political scientist at the University of New Hampshire, about Bachmann's reception in his home state.
