St. Paul, Minn. — Aquiring a taste for artistic leadership in this last year, twin cities soprano, Carrie Henneman Shaw, recipient of the McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians, is using her award to promote the cause of early music.

She has put together what she calls her A-Team, some of the best early music singers and instrumentalists in the region, for two performances of the complete Fifth Book of Madrigals by Claudio Monteverdi.

Shaw and members of her "team" joined Steve Staruch in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio for a preview.
