ChoralQuest - New Music For Kids

St. Paul, Minn. — This year the American Composers Forum began a new choral commissioning program called ChoralQuest. Stephen Paulus was one of the first composers to participate.

He spent part of this school year with the Oak Grove Singers of Oak Grove Middle School in Bloomington and their director Bryan Blessing. The fruit of their collaboration was a piece titled "Through All Things" based on a poem by Wordsworth.

The composer, director, and singers all joined Steve Staruch in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio recently to talk about the ChoralQuest program and perform "Through All Things." That studio session is in this week's Regional Spotlight.
