The latest on protests, politics in Madison
by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Early this morning in Wisconsin, Republicans in the State Assembly voted to approve Gov. Scott Walker's budget bill in a quick vote.
But, while the bill passed in Wisconsin's lower chamber, it's still stuck in the Senate with no vote in sight.
Fourteen Democratic Senators are still in hiding, holding up a vote that would likely move the bill to Walker's desk for signing.
To get the latest from Wisconsin's capitol, we're joined by Patrick Marley, a political reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
