Stalemate in Madison; which side will crack first?
The Wisconsin Assembly has been in session all night debating a bill that would balance the state's budget and end most of the collective bargaining rights held by public workers. Democrats say they have 200 amendments to offer, a strategy designed to delay a vote on the measure. This is the latest development in a political tussle that has drawn the attention of the nation.
MPR's Phil Picardi was joined by Dennis Dresang this morning for an analysis of the power struggle at the Wisconsin State Capitol. He is a professor emeritus in political science and public affairs at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
