2 Bemidji snowmobilers rescued from Minn. lake
Bemidji, Minn. (AP) — Two Bemidji snowmobilers were rescued after their sleds went into open water on Lake Bemidji.
Beltrami County sheriff's authorities say Alan Gorick and Lisa Mathis, both 48, were on snowmobiles that went through the ice on the east side of the lake Sunday night.
Rescuers got the two out of the water. They were treated and released from North Country Regional Hospital.
The Bemidji Pioneer reports the snowmobiles remained in the water. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources was notified.
