St. Paul, Minn. — Each summer, 248 top Minnesota high school vocalists in 10th through 12th grades get together to form the Minnesota All-State Choir.

There are three distinct ensembles: a male ensemble, a girls chorus and a mixed ensemble.

We believe that music is basic to the human experience.
- an excerpt from the MMEA mission statement

Choral directors from all across the state are chosen to conduct these groups.

The commitment of these young singers and their directors is amazing and the results are spectacular too.

All three ensembles in the Minnesota All-State Choir from last summer are represented in this week's Regional Spotlight.
