St. Paul, Minn. — Formed out of Carleton College, this local quartet quickly found success and critically positive reviews from Pitchfork and Gorillas vs. Bear as well as signing to a major label within a year of their debut record.

They are one of indie music's most notable examples of a blogworthy buzz band, and continue to be ingrained in the local music community, playing in various side projects. They recorded "The Loon" in a Wisconsin cabin, like every good Midwestern musician, and released their third effort, "Outside," on January 11, 2011.

Tapes n' Tapes stopped by The Current studio and performed: "When In The World," "Bada Boom" and "Freak Out."
