Police arrest man in connection with weekend homicide in Mpls

St. Paul, Minn. — A Minneapolis man is being held at the Hennepin County jail in connection with a homicide Friday in north Minneapolis.

Richard Antwon Mayes-Lindsay, 22, was arrested Saturday in the shooting death of 31-year-old Mario Derral Combs. Police say the shooting took place when a fight involving several people broke out on the 400 block of 29th Avenue North.

A patrol sergeant investigating the gunshots found Combs wounded by gunfire. He died at the scene.

The Minneapolis police are seeking more information on the case. The public is asked to call 612-692-TIPS (8477).
