Police: Man killed in north Minneapolis

St. Paul, Minn. — Minneapolis police say a man has been fatally shot in north Minneapolis.

Officials said a Fourth Precinct patrol sergeant was near 29th Avenue North and North Fourth Street at about 5:30 this evening when he saw what police describe as "a disturbance involving several people."

The sergeant was about to investigate when he heard gunshots. When he got to the scene, he found a man with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death. No one is in custody.
