St. Paul police investigate attempted abductionby Tim Nelson, Minnesota Public Radio
St. Paul, Minn. — St. Paul police are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping in the city's Frogtown neighborhood.
Police said a 15-year-old girl told them she was standing near the intersection of Thomas and Western at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
She told police that a man drove up in a sedan and asked her for directions, then tried to offer her a ride. She said that when she declined, he drew a handgun and pointed it at her. She ran away, and he left the scene.
She described the man as 40 or 50 years old with a moustache, wearing black jeans, glasses and a baseball cap. He was driving a white, four-door car with slightly tinted widows. She said the car was dirty when she saw it.
Investigators are asking any one who might know who the suspect might be or who saw the incident to call St. Paul police.
