Regional Spotlight: New York Polyphony

St. Paul, Minn. — The harmonies are so tight that at first hearing you'll think of a barbershop quartet.

But it's as if the four guys in the ensemble New York Polyphony have dropped in from another time and place.

Their singing can at one moment be robust and full bodied, then ethereal and otherworldly the next.

From a recital given at St Olaf College at the end of September, New York Polyphony sing two works by living composers in this week's Regional Spotlight.
