In-flight incident forces jet to land in Fargo

Federal authorities in North Dakota are investigating an in-flight incident that forced a commuter jet to be diverted to Fargo.

Fargo Police Lt. Joel Vettel said the plane landed about 10 a.m. Sunday. He declined to give details, saying the Transportation Security Administration would hold a news conference at 3 p.m.

Fargo radio station KFGO reported that a Delta Connection/Pinnacle Airlines jet remained parked on an isolated runway Sunday afternoon with police and firefighters standing by. KFGO said passengers were taken to the terminal building and held in an area away from other travelers.

There was no information on where the flight originated or where it was headed.
