St. Paul, Minn. — Of Montreal has been around for nearly 15 years, first creating material within the influential Elephant Six collective, which produced some of the brightest indie bands of the 90s, including The Apples in Stereo, Olivia Tremor Control and Neutral Milk Hotel.

Ten albums later, their sound has progressed from funky twee to full-fledged disco-rock on "False Priest," which features no shortage of collaborators, including talents such as Janelle Monae and Solange Knowles. Known for crazy live antics including riding live horses across the stage, dousing crowds in glitter and feathers and even fake sacrificial ceremonies, Of Montreal has become an influential mainstay in the race for indie's oddity throne.

Songs performed: "Flunkt Sass vs. the Rute Plume," "Tonight" (Sibylle Baier cover) and "Enemy Gene" with Janelle Monae.
