St. Paul, Minn. — Matt Wilson and John Munson of the Twilight Hours, formerly the Flops, have a long history both together and apart as Twin Cities musicians. Munson is probably most famous as the bassist for Semisonic, while Matt played for local band Polara. As the Twilight Hours, they were originally going to limit themselves to upright bass and guitar, but the duo has since expanded their live line-up to include a full band. Their 2009 release "Stereo Night" owes a sonic debt to Big Star, whom the band cites as one of their major influences.

They stopped by the Current booth at the Minnesota State Fair on Labor Day for a live performance.

Songs performed: "Help Me Find A Way," "Maybe" and "Queen of Tomorrow."
