Delta flight attendants to vote on unionization

St. Paul, Minn. — Flight attendants at Delta Air Lines will vote on union representation, starting at the end of this month.

Former Northwest Airlines flight attendants at Delta are represented by a union. But historically, Delta's flight attendants have not been unionized. The upcoming vote will decide if all flight attendants at the airline will be represented by a union, or not.

The vote begins September 29 and concludes November 3. Delta has about 20,000 flight attendants. About 7,000 of them formerly flew for Northwest. Delta acquired Northwest in 2008.
