Payments are on the way to the survivors and family members of those who were killed when the old 35W bridge collapsed in August 2007. The engineering company that was working on the bridge when it has agreed to pay out $52 million to settle claims by victims of the disaster.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio News reporter Tim Nelson who has been following the story.
