Police: Husband, wife and one other shot dead in Eagan
by Laura Yuen, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Eagan police are investigating the shooting deaths of three people Tuesday night in an apparent double murder-suicide.
Police believe a man shot Svetlana Hanson, 24, and her husband, Charles Hanson, 42, through the front window of their home. The gunman then apparently killed himself and was found in a side yard of the home.
Three children were sleeping inside the home when the shooting occurred, and Svetlana Hanson's father was also home at the time. None were injured.
Police say a domestic assault at the house was reported in May 2009, and someone from the residence called police two months ago to report a violation of a no-contact order.
Authorities have not determined a motive but do not believe the public is in danger.
