Karen Hansen is a true Renaissance woman.
She makes music, gives lectures, writes feature stories, takes fabulous photos, speaks fluent Norwegian and runs six miles a day.
Her love of music runs deep - from the thumping beat of Hindemith, Shostakovich and Stravinsky --- to the restful, soul-fulfilling and lush sound of choral music and Mozart's clarinet concerto.
The selections she chose to share with us are as varied as her tastes and include one piece completely new to me, a choral cantata by Beethoven on two Goethe poems, Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage.
