Kelliher pulls in nearly $1M for gov race in 2010

DLF House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher has released campaign finance reports that show she has raised nearly $1 million this year toward her campaign for governor.

More than three-fourths came from individuals, while lobbyists and political action committees supplied most of the rest.

Kelliher said she wants to strengthen the state's financial disclosure law.

"My proposal will require that all candidates for statewide office have to file and disclose something that plainly describes the income, assets, [and] investments held by themselves and their spouses," Kelliher said.

Kelliher released the information for her own family on Sunday. She and her husband have earned between $100,000 and $250,000 this year.

Kelliher's opponents in the Aug. 10 DLF primary -- former U.S. Senator Mark Dayton and former state representative Matt Entenza -- have yet to release their campaign finance forms. Their reports are likely to show they've contributed large amounts of their own money to their campaigns.

The information is due to the state campaign finance board on Monday.
