Bachmann: If GOP wins House, subpoenas to follow
St. Paul, Minn. (AP) — GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann is urging Republicans to investigate the Democratic agenda in Washington if the GOP wins a House majority in November.
In comments posted Thursday by a conservative blog, Bachmann says, "I think all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another and expose all the nonsense that has gone on."
The blog, Three Fingers of Politics, says Bachmann made the comments at the GOP Youth Convention in Washington.
Bachmann's congressional spokesman says specifics of any investigations would be up to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Democrat Tarryl Clark's campaign says Bachmann is promoting "baseless partisan witch hunts."
