Familial DNA for crime solving

Police in California used a controversial crime-solving method caught the notorious "Grim Sleeper" by using the DNA of the murderer's son. Some experts want to expand this search to catch more criminals, however it is not done in most states because of concerns over privacy and racial profiling.
