St. Paul, Minn. — You learn something new every day.

I was aware that the Mayor of Saint Paul -- Chris Coleman -- had at least a passing interest in classical music since he agreed to co-host a segment of my Saturday program with me.

What I didn't know was that he plays the bagpipes! And ever since taking office, he's been a assiduous student of the classical guitar.

Keeping the city running must require at least a small amount of head-clearing and down-time and the Mayor shared with me that there are several pieces of music that put him in the right frame of mind.

Next Saturday, Guthrie Theater Artistic Director Joe Dowling shares music that helps him put the dramatic into his life.
