Hennepin County's new digital library
by Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public RadioJuly 13, 2010
The Hennepin County will begin making electronic books available to readers. When the program starts, there will be seven hundred titles that readers can download to their personal computers or E-readers. The catch -- the files won't work on the iPad or Kindle, the two most popular E-readers on the market. Vicky Helgeson is a senior librarian for the Hennepin County Library. She says readers can check out the books without even setting foot in the library. She joined Cathy Wurzer by phone.
