Presbyterian pastor explains church's decisions on gay clergyby Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public Radio
With about 5,000 members, Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina has the largest congregation of any Presbyterian church in the upper midwest. John Crosby is senior pastor there. He was at last night's vote and he joined Cathy Wurzer this morning by phone to explain the church's decision.
Delegates voted not to change the church's definition of marriage which can currently only be between a man and a woman. They did vote however, to allow gays and lesbians to serve as clergy.
