Tax credit to kick-in this summer for angel investorsby Cathy Wurzer, Minnesota Public Radio
Fledgling businesses looking to expand in Minnesota will get some help securing investors starting this summer. In July or August the state will begin to accept applications for its new Angel Investor Tax Credit as part of a 5-year, $50 million dollar effort to spur innovation and job growth in Minnesota.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with John Alexander, who's been pushing for such a tax break for almost a decade. He's chairman and founder of Twin Cities Angels, a group of investors that provides capital to technology startups.
