St. Paul, Minn. — Today's Supreme Court ruling overturning Gov. Tim Pawlenty's unallotment of funds for a nutrition program for the elderly and disabled raises questions about the other programs that were cut by the governor at the same time.
Among the biggest losers in the unallotment process were Minnesota's cities. The governor cut $192 million in local government aid that the cities would otherwise have received from the state.
Tom Grundhoefer, general counsel at the League of Minnesota Cities joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann by phone.
