Rising numbers of foreclosures in Minnesota
May 4, 2010
St. Paul, Minn. — Foreclosures in Minnesota reached the second-highest level during the current housing crisis with a total of 6,879 foreclosures.
The only higher period was the second quarter of 2008. The first quarter of this year was up nearly 11 percent over the previous quarter, and 28 percent over the same period last year.
Dan Hylton is Research Manager at Minnesota HousingLink, the organization that has been compiling the numbers, and he joins me.
